Presenting: Unwrapped! - A Communal Group Show

We’re bringing back a Fishbowl classic! Back by popular demand, we will be doing another holiday show where unveiling is the name of the game!

The Challenge: With a blank wooden panel as your starting point, there are no creative limits. You can attach, destroy, combine, carve into, sculpt, paint, draw, or construct anything you can imagine onto it. Burn it, smash it, stack it, hang it—there are no boundaries, except that you must use the panel provided.

The opening night: Here's where the magic happens—wrap your art like it's Christmas! On opening reception night, we'll have a delightful exhibit of many veiled pieces of art, just waiting to be unwrapped. Over the first two weeks, as a part of our community fundraising effort, attendees who make a donation to The Fishbowl will have the joy of unwrapping and revealing a new piece each time.

How it works:

  • Select your participation fee. Any funds from communal shows go into supporting the space and helping us keep our doors open.

    • Excited to make your masterpiece, while supporting a fellow artist? Choose our “Get one Gift one” option.

    • Looking forward to participating while helping us keep our doors open? Thanks for being an accomplice!

    • Loving all that’s happening here, just need a little extra grace with the $$? We’ve got you with the Low Income QTBIPOC discounted panel.

    • Need a scholarship because #life? Reach out and let’s chat! hello@thefishbowseattle.com

      • We ask artists choosing discounted panels to limit to (2). There is no limit for Accomplices and GoGo’s!

  • Panel pick ups at any upcoming event. Pick up anytime during our gallery hours, or events! Just make sure to drop your completed panels off by 4:00pm, Sunday, December 1st!

  • Join us during co-create cafe on Sunday 11/24 from 1-4pm to work on your piece - it’s always fun to rope a friend into doing the show with you! Co-create is always free, but we accept donations.
